Attorney-Client Relationship

Only after Summerall Law confirms in writing that it has accepted you as a client is an attorney-client relationship formed.

No Guarantee of Results

The hiring of a lawyer is an important decision that should not be based solely upon advertisements. The outcome of each legal case depends upon many factors, including the facts of the case, and no attorney can guarantee a positive result in any particular case.

Summerall Law and its attorneys make no guarantees, warranties, or predictions about the outcome of your legal case.

We also make no representations that the quality of legal work to be performed is greater than the quality of legal work performed by other lawyers. Our prior results, including successful judgments and settlements, do not guarantee a similar outcome.

Practice of Law

Summerall Law's attorneys are admitted to practice in California, as well as some courts in other jurisdictions. The firm's attorneys have also been admitted pro hac vice in various federal and state courts for the purposes of appearing in court for a particular case.

Where necessary, Summerall Law operates with the assistance of local counsel in jurisdictions outside California.

Text Message Terms & Conditions

What the programme is. Summerall Law sends text messages about appointments you have booked with us: a confirmation when you book, a reminder the day before, a reminder shortly before the appointment, and a message if it is rescheduled or cancelled. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

How you join. When you book an appointment you may tick a box agreeing to receive these messages at the mobile number you give us. The box is not ticked for you. If you leave it unticked we will not text you, and your appointment is booked exactly the same way.

How often. Message frequency varies and depends on how many appointments you have with us.

Cost. We do not charge for these messages. Message and data rates may apply from your mobile carrier.

How you leave. Reply STOP to any message. You will receive one confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, and nothing after that. You may also ask us to remove your number by calling the office.

How to get help. Reply HELP to any message, or call us at 415.944.9406.

We do not sell or share your mobile number, or your consent to receive text messages, with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We share it only with the service providers who deliver the messages for us, and only so that they can deliver them.

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery depends on your carrier and your device, and we cannot guarantee that any particular message arrives — so please do not rely on a text as your only reminder of an appointment.

A text message about an appointment is not legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by it. Please do not send confidential details of your matter by text.

Privacy

When you book an appointment or contact us through this website, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you choose to tell us about what you need. We use it to schedule your appointment, to reach you about it, and to follow up afterwards.

We share that information with the service providers who make the firm run — scheduling, calendar, email and text messaging services — under agreements that limit them to working on our behalf. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share the mobile number you give us, or your consent to be texted, with anyone for their own marketing.

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to info@summeralllaw.com or call 415.944.9406. Some records we are required to keep for a period of time under our professional obligations, and we will tell you where that applies.

Anything you share with us once you are a client is protected by the attorney-client privilege and our duty of confidentiality, which are broader than what is described here.
